Music With Mindy Learning Studio
Located off North Main Street just outside of Mooresville, NC, the Music With Mindy Learning Studio is in a restful backyard setting. Family members can sit outdoors, stay and observe from the waiting area, or run a quick errand.
Mindy Arndt is a Board Certified Music Therapist with 40 years experience with people of all ages and abilities. She has provided music therapy services in psychiatric, nursing home and adult day programs which serve the developmentally disabled, and has offered private music therapy for children and adults and music instruction in the Mooresville area since 1995.
Students may enroll in traditional lessons, adaptive lessons for those needing a specialized approach, or they may receive tailored music therapy interventions.
Piano, flute, ukulele and beginning guitar are offered at this time.
While in Mooresville, Mindy has accompanied church and choral groups, played for weddings and funerals, directed adult and youth handbell choirs, preschool music and children's choirs including 40 children's musicals in a church setting.
She currently is enjoying ringing and singing at her church, Holy Trinity Lutheran in Troutman, NC.
Private Lesson Guidelines
Practice
All students are expected to practice daily. Repetition is key to learning and proficiency.
All students are expected to bring all of their lesson books to every lesson, including the Student Assignment Book.
Parents!!! Please check the assignment book weekly for communications regarding schedule, payment, progress, etc.
Assignments made should be accomplished within one week. If your student has the same assignment for multiple weeks, they may need to increase their practice time.
Lesson Times
Each student is assigned a lesson time for the school year.
Lessons will begin and end on time. This will apply even if the student arrives late. Extending the lesson would infringe upon the time of another. Most lessons are 30 minutes; however, this may be increased in special circumstances as time allows.
Lessons should not be interrupted by other students or their parents. Please enter no more than 5 minutes before your lesson time and be seated. Please do not wait outside past your lesson time - this will help me keep on schedule.
Parents are always welcome to observe their child's lesson. ALSO, please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.
Attendance
Please notify me of any absence as soon as possible, even at the last minute. 704-677-2007

When notified at least 24 hrs in advance, a reasonable attempt will be made to reschedule the lesson.
YOU MUST keep your child home if they have any sign of illness. Let me know ASAP if you would like to reschedule the lesson.
Makeup lessons may be scheduled on scheduled makeup days, or during other lesson slots as they become available. All makeup lessons should occur before the end of the semester. If you forget a makeup lesson, it will not be rescheduled.
If you have a Monday lesson which is a scheduled holiday, and you will be away, we will reschedule your lesson for later that week if possible. If you are in town, you can schedule an earlier time of day if you like.
Missed lessons due to my cancellation will either be rescheduled or credit given to prepayment.
Please give 30 days notice if you must discontinue your lessons.
